...soon
The Nuggets look to the future as they extend their (hopefully) star small forward Danilo Gallinari. What other big things does the future hold for our Denver Nuggets?

Extensions galore down at the Extension Depot, otherwise known as the Pepsi Center. The Nuggets extended both Gallo (4 years $42 million with additional incentives) and, surprisingly, Kosta Koufos (3 years $9 million) yesterday. This gives us pause to think about the direction the team is going in the next couple seasons. It's clear with the signing of Nene Hilario and Arron Afflalo that the Nuggets are committed to a core of talent centered around those three (including Gallo) but what does it mean for the rest of the roster. It goes without saying that Ty Lawson will be extended an offer soon (Ty still has one year of guaranteed salary, and a Qualifying offer the year after) and he is definitely part of the "core".
Decisions will need to be made about Rudy Fernandez, Andre Miller, Chris Andersen and Timofey Mozgov (who has a guaranteed salary for next season with no team or player option) in the next several months. The Nuggets must address their peripherals in to the next off season. So what should they do? Two things that are looking increasingly likely are the Birdman no longer being on the roster in the coming months (either through trade or amnesty) and letting Andre Miller go in free agency.
While some would argue that Bird's contract isn't prohibitive (which it isn't) and they might as well play him while he winds down his career with the Nuggets, it is clear that Bird no longer get's the minutes he used to and George Karl has lost a certain amount of trust in him (Bird has received a couple Did Not Play - Coaches Decision's this year). Couple that with the extension of Kosta Koufos and you increasingly have a marginalized Birdman. Unless Bird can miraculously escape father time and become the player he was 3 seasons ago I think the handwriting may be on the wall.
Andre Miller most likely will not re-sign. He has the desire to start, and the value of signing a aging vet only makes sense at a "team friendly" cost. If 'Dre won't agree to those terms them, I'm afraid, the Nuggets have to let him walk. This leaves us with Rudy and Moz. All signs point to Mozgov being retained after next season because the Nuggets love his upside (and his inclusion reportedly held up the Carmelo Anthony trade). Rudy will most likely be extended a qualifying offer next season, but it remains to be seen if he will accept. He could potentially get more money playing in Spain. The Nuggets like Rudy, and Rudy seems to enjoy playing in Denver. Hopefully something can be worked out.
All in all, Nuggets fans, the future is now. It seems that Gallo is determined to step it up this year, and played a fantastic game after he signed his new contract. It's starting look bright around here, be sure to bring your shades.

ice357 - January 26, 2012
I think our biggest hole will be a quality backup to ty next season.
I think dre and harrington are our x factors this. losing dre will leave a big hole, as much as it was the last time. he’s a winner, elder and leader on this team. this despite his pouts.
newsman35 - January 26, 2012
Julyan Stone
Raw, but his play is similar to Dre, or Rondo, in that he’s a passer with good court vision.
Ski Bum - January 26, 2012
Miller has been incredible this year
I think you’re all right here that he’s not coming back, but I don’t think J Stone will come close to doing what Dre has done for us
REAPtheThird - January 26, 2012
I think then you have to consider your expectations
If you expect the Nuggets to be championship contenders, then we would need a veteran pg.
If you want to give this core another year or 2 to grow together, then I don’t see any problem in letting Stone be the back up.
NugNugz - January 26, 2012
You never know
If the Nugs look like contenders, a distinct possibility, Dre may warm up to the idea of staying.
Ski Bum - January 26, 2012
If Masai can trick a team in to taking birdman
we should be naming schools after him
Mancar - January 26, 2012
Oh thank you thank you thank you for the Spaceballs clip
I love that movie
SDcat09 - January 26, 2012
Second loving the clip
Dreish princesses are attracted to money and starting and we have none and he knows it
chantech - January 26, 2012
iswydt
and I really liked it.
NC Gold - January 26, 2012
The other implication of all this
Is I think the Nuggets are impressed enough with Faried’s progress that they feel comfortable having him take Birdman’s role.
chantech - January 26, 2012
I'm still scratching my head over Koufos getting extended though...
But I guess he’s young and can improve.
CombatChuk - January 26, 2012
7 footer
with a 37 inch vert. He’s like Bird but taller and without all the tats and drugs
REAPtheThird - January 26, 2012
and hair, and monster truck
younger and a better investment. Nuggets need a good big man coach as an assistant, Ryan Bowen doesn’t fit that bill.
jd80229 - January 26, 2012
Are you hinting that Andersen
Should coach big men?
Fly Agaric - January 26, 2012
yeah but three million a year for a back up center in the nba
is not terrible. Especially since he has legit size. There are way worse deals out there.

cough cough FRENCHY cough cough
JBnuggs - January 26, 2012
If Massai could trade Birdman
and get even a 2nd rounder for him, I don’t know what I’d do. Personally send him a letter saying how amazing he is i guess. Unfortunately some things just can’t happen
NastyNessy71 - January 26, 2012
I bet Ujiri is on the phone right now with the Clippers about seeing if they want Bird
CombatChuk - January 26, 2012
any team
who would take Bird and his contract has some serious, and i mean really seirous issues
NastyNessy71 - January 26, 2012
clippers do have serious issues
they desperately need some bigs off the bench
swmrkev - January 26, 2012
Bird for a 2nd rounder is probably the best we can hope for!
Clips might do it!
SD_Nugget_Fan - January 27, 2012
I was thinking last night
Even though Bird is a shell of his former self, I love having him on the Nuggets and would be sad to see him in another uni.
Now, seeing him get a lot of minutes is a different issue.
Pusherman - January 26, 2012
Yeah
I think he should retire as a Nugget.
Fly Agaric - January 26, 2012
100%

El Scorcho! - January 26, 2012

Kevin L - January 26, 2012
maybe Knicks could take Birdman
I mean, dont Ujiri and Dolan have a little history between them?
sgiustra - January 27, 2012
Ya know who we haven't missed at all?
AAA
And when he’s played, I haven’t been a fan of what he’s done.

AAA was coming on before the latest injury
jd80229 - January 26, 2012
In stiffy's defense, it's hard to say you miss anyone when you get 92 pts. in the paint
Mozgov, AAA, Rudy, Ty…… who needs them?!
margabelle - January 26, 2012
What would you consider "coming on" exactly?
stiffy - January 27, 2012

Here's another article fresh off the interwebz for yall
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2012/writers/sam_amick/01/26/denver.nuggets/index.html
Jeffrey Morton - January 26, 2012
"its ludicrous the stuff that people write" - that the Nuggets are a regular season team
One and done in like 6 out of the 7 past years of playoffs (under Karl) What’s so ludicrous about that? He needs to realize that he’s been a better regular season COACH than he has been in the playoffs since leaving Seattle. He may want to keep quiet about this one, look inward, and prove them wrong. Talking about it now serves no purpose other than put addition pressure on a still developing team
jd80229 - January 26, 2012
Agree with that
Its the playoffs that count. I want everyone to think we are just a regular season team and then knock them in the mouth come playoffs.
Even a slight underestimation of this team can do that to cocky teams.(like OKC).
JR15 - January 26, 2012
w.c.f. counts for nothing?
Patrick KB. Nugget - January 26, 2012
definitely a plus
but you only have Nene and Bird left from that team.
jd80229 - January 26, 2012
wow that's so true
I hadn’t considered that.
NugNugz - January 26, 2012
Me neither
I know my opinion goes against the conventional wisdom, but I think the nuggets and their playing style can win in the playoffs. Can they win a championship? I don’t know about that. They will need to become a better half-court team.
But I think Denver can do that.
Fly Agaric - January 26, 2012
so much of it depends on match ups and who gets hot at the right time
but in the Western conference, Denver seems to have as good of a chance as anyone.
NugNugz - January 26, 2012
Well, I'm all in with us winning it all. No joke.
I think we can do it.
SDcat09 - January 26, 2012
i do too
but for that to happen, Coach Karl will definitely have to expand his rotation. Who would’ve ever guessed that Brian Cardinal would’ve had a somewhat valuable role in the finals? And yet he did because a) he was ready to step in and b) Carlisle had the confidence to expand his rotation.
NugNugz - January 26, 2012
Absolutely
I think this team can make a plausible run for the title. The Nuggets should be in the conversation, and if they are in the conversation, it isn’t too much of a leap.
But I know anything can happen. The Nuggets are hot right now. But what about February? What about that monster road trip in March? What if Denver doesn’t get a good draw in the playoffs?
And Denver seldom gets favorable draws. The reason the Nuggets get to the WCF was because they were a good regular season team and ended up with a No. 2 seed. That was huge and paved the way for postseason success.
Fly Agaric - January 26, 2012
We actually are versatile enough to match with anyone, but is Karl?…….
Kevin L - January 26, 2012
Regular Season Team Truth
Unfortunately, there is some truth to it.
Team depth is more valuable in the regular season because teams use longer rotations and are more likely to give players with minor health issues days off. There are also lots of back to backs. In the playoffs being 10 deep and having a huge edge over the 8th, 9th, and 10th player on another team doesn’t help as much. Rotations often shorten to 8 players because there are no back to backs and no one is trying to save something for the playoffs. They are in the playoffs.
Wayne Crimi - January 26, 2012
the Nuggets were a regular season team with a super*
remember?

Jeffrey Morton - January 26, 2012
: )
I think you commented on this elsewhere, but now with a day or two to digest, how are you feeling about the Koufos signing?
Artimus Mangilord - January 26, 2012
Basic contract.
seems to be three guaranteed years but I need to see the details. Not too cost prohibitive for a back-up center. I like K2…he needs to develop a little more situational awareness and get a bit tougher as a one on one defender. Otherwise I dig it.
In the grand scheme of things I just think it means Birdman is gone. When you pay a guy like that you pretty much have to play him…and Bird still has two years left on his contract after this season.
Jeffrey Morton - January 26, 2012
third year is a team option
donwoe - January 26, 2012
Wait Jeff
I thought you said the Nuggets would go the way of the Avs and try being as cheap as possible??
Why all of these extensions??
JR15 - January 26, 2012
I was wrong
and I’m very happy to be wrong
Jeffrey Morton - January 26, 2012
as are we
I remember thinking dang that Jeff sure doesn’t have any hope that we resign Nene. I was like this dude has to know what he is talking about, I mean he is running a Website. But by golly and thank goodness you were wrong.
Mancar - January 26, 2012
Jeff wasn't the only one
A lot of pundits didn’t have a good feeling about it.
Fly Agaric - January 26, 2012
According to The Association
there were times the Nuggets didn’t have a good feeling abou ti.
jbmmlang - January 27, 2012
Thanks!
I’m happy with the deal. I think K2 has upside, he’s just raw right now. Plenty of serviceable bigmen get paid grossly more than that, with more years. I wonder what the timing of a Birdman amnesty is? Not until they have another tried lined up, I’m guessing. When a team picks up an amnestied player, what is the minimum they can offer? $1? Or do they at least have to pick up the vet min the player would qualify for? (which in all cases leaves the original team to pay the rest)
Artimus Mangilord - January 27, 2012
Vet min.
NC Gold - January 27, 2012
Kroenke was just interviewed on The Fan...
… sure sounded like he wanted to bring Chandler back in the fold. I’m sure the fan will post the interview before too long…
Good stuff in there for Avs fans too.
margabelle - January 26, 2012
Let me get this right
If all healthy
Ty/Dre
AAA/Dre/Rudy
Gallo/Chandler/Brewer
Nene/Al/Bird
Moz/Nene/K2
Looks like Corey and Bird would kiss their minutes good bye as the 11th and 12th options. Don’t get me wrong, I like it
REAPtheThird - January 26, 2012
i like it too if Chandler is ok with it
Corey could still get run for like 10-12 minutes a game as the energy guy to back up SG/SF
jd80229 - January 26, 2012
Cory looks really confused when he handles the ball
hes played wildly out of control (offensively) the past few games. You all know what I think about bird so I won’t even go there.
Mancar - January 26, 2012
i agree with this
Brewer’s nickname should be Crash 2.0 the way he runs around out there like a Gallo with his head cut off. But his energy and intensity are infectious and necessary. I will take a few turnovers a game in exchange for that.
NugNugz - January 26, 2012
me too.
Just, Please…No Bird.
Mancar - January 26, 2012
yeah Bird's not looking so good.
NugNugz - January 26, 2012
credit where it's due
Bird had a solid game last night
JBnuggs - January 26, 2012
The fact that we have to point that out speaks volumes.
AMNESTY
ruralnugs - January 26, 2012
I'm not opposed to it
I’ve been harsh on Bird for the last 2 years. I just think Faried can bring the same things to the table but on a consistent basis with more energy. The Bird of ’09 was awesome but I think that Bird has flown away…
JBnuggs - January 26, 2012
Hasn't this been the case since Bird came back?
SDcat09 - January 26, 2012
He had an okay game against a subpar team
Mancar - January 26, 2012
I almost like what Kroenke said about the Avs the most as far as what he's doing for the Nuggets....
…. insofar as he recognized his shortcomings, showed humility and the need to learn and trust those in the know. He is not a “my way or the highway” kind of guy.

A lot of people are down on AAA this year.
He didn’t have a training camp, and because of that looks to be out of it. Give him and Nene a bit more time. You heard it here first: THE ALLSTAR BREAK WILL DO WONDERS FOR NENE AND AAA’s PRODUCTION.
Mancar - January 26, 2012
I'm rooting big time for AAA
because the real questions for the Nuggets is, can they go deep in the playoffs?
IMO we desperately need 2 ingredients we didnt have vs OKC: A productive Center, a tough, sober leader – ie Mozgov and AAA
sgiustra - January 27, 2012
Are you suggesting that because Mozgov is Russian, he's not sober? Unbelievable.
Artimus Mangilord - January 27, 2012

Wayne Crimi - January 26, 2012
Wouldn't that be a +2 then?
Fly Agaric - January 27, 2012
Andre Miller and Al Harrington
have been HUGE off the bench for the Nuggets. Nugs have won several games because of these players coming off the bench and dominating. Nugs obviously have Harrington for a while, but it looks like they might lose Miller. Only good part about that is the Nuggets will be forced to use their size (which they have alot of) because Karl won’t be able to run anymore 2 point guard sets. Hopefully Faried will get more minutes cause Bird might be gone as well, he should be be able to fulfill Bird’s role off the bench and then some.
Will the Nuggets definitely extend Lawson? I feel pretty confident that they will but I wanna know for sure, and when do you think it will happen if they do? I really wanna buy this really cool Lawson jersey but I am on the fence. I can either buy a really cool Lawson jersey or get a regular road alternate Gallinari jersey (which i know is a fantastic buy at this point). Both are my favorite players, I always have difficulty when buying new jerseys.
blitzzburgh - January 26, 2012
is it the black jersey with yellow numbers with the cool effects on the side?
saw it over the weekend at the Fanzz store at Colorado Mills
jd80229 - January 26, 2012

jd80229 - January 26, 2012
nevermind. I found a pic on their website.
it’s pretty sweet, but not my cup of tea. hold out for the ABA throwback!
NugNugz - January 26, 2012
yeah, not sure on the color scheme myself, not sure where the black fits in
http://www.fanzz.com/Denver_Nuggets_Ty_Lawson_3_Vibe_Jersey_Black/Denver_Nuggets_Ty_Lawson_3_Vibe_Jersey_Black__shop-DPS-116811-116815.html
jd80229 - January 26, 2012
i mean it's definitely nice
the black goes well, but I tend to be more in favor of jerseys that the players will actually wear in games or throwbacks. It’s your world, and I’m just living in it, but I’m giving you my 2 cents even though you didn’t ask for them.
NugNugz - January 26, 2012
i hear that, has to be actually used team colors past or present
not just logos with different color schemes. like for the ladies, the different sizes and shapes are fine, but the pink jerseys are weak unless its for cancer awareness or something.
jd80229 - January 26, 2012
amen to that
what’s more, the assumption that all ladies want to wear these cotton candy pink jerseys is just ridiculous. My boo absolutely hates them and opts instead for youth sized jerseys (she’s 5’0)
NugNugz - January 26, 2012
<3<3<3
Kevin L - January 26, 2012
I've also been debating between a Gallinari and a Lawson jersey.
Even been considering an Ujiri one, lol.
The_NGUYENNER - January 26, 2012
Won't it just read
Magnificent Bastard on the back?
REAPtheThird - January 26, 2012
I wouldn't get a jersey unless it's a throwback aba one
because I have a feeling the Nuggets are going to have new jerseys sooner rather than later and I would hate for anyone to spend 80 bucks on a jersey for one season. The reason I think this: We’ve had the same jerseys since 2003. that’s a really long time in NBA jersey design years.
NugNugz - January 26, 2012
bring back the skyline!
I liked Cloudburst’s designs quite a bit
JBnuggs - January 26, 2012
yeah those were sweet. I long for the skylines as well.
I even kind of miss the jersey from the late 90s (because I grew up then). I don’t want them to ever go back to them, but were they to release a throwback of them, I would strongly consider buying it – but only if everything was sewn on. Did the authentic jerseys worn by the players from the 90s have screened on numbers and names like all the replicas?
NugNugz - January 26, 2012
Banner day for the Fan for us Nuggets fans, now interviewing Gallo....
…. already saying D’Antoine pigeonholed him into a 3 pt . shooting role and Karl is awesome for letting him drive.

And Gallo has no problem talking smack
I’ve seen him get feisty with a lot of players. I like his fire.
KevinAwesome - January 26, 2012
I think we have a shot at Andre returning. I think he’s adjusting to his role and depending on how successful our playoff run is, he might realize this is his best chance to win a championship is with the Nuggets and he will still be able to contribute 25-30 minutes per game off the bench with the occasional spot start. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.
BrianD - January 26, 2012
I'd love to have Andre back
Who wouldn’t want a back-up PG as talented as Andre?
I also want a supermodel girlfriend who cooks and cleans and never has a headache.
Fly Agaric - January 26, 2012
OT: Bummer..."Juan Epstein" aka Robert Hegyes has passed away
I mention this in honor Ben “Mr. Kotter” Hochman’s mustache
SDcat09 - January 26, 2012
My thoughts
Let Dre and Rudy walk, bring Mozgov back, Amnesty Bird. We will still need a backup SG, but we can still bring back Chandler(not my #1 choice) or bring back JR(we could do a lot worse). This would have the lineup as follows
PG- Lawson, Stone
SG-AAA, Jr/Chandler(pick your poison)
SF-Gallo, Hamilton, Brewer
PF-Nene, Harrington, Faried
C-Mozgov, Koufos
I don’t see a lot of negatives about this unless someone on the second unit is on a cold streak. There are a lot of interchangeable parts in this, as JR can play 1-3, Chandler could go 2-4, Hamilton could play 2 and 3, Nene plays 4-5, Harrington could play 3-5(in a pinch). This also eliminates going “small” but still maintaining a high speed offense.
Army of Nugs - January 26, 2012
If Andre walks, I'd like us to get Livingston as 2nd PG
When Karl inserts both PGs into the game there wouldn’t be worries about the size, Livingston could guard 2guards because of his height. Though Milwaukee has a team option on him…
JuBar - January 26, 2012
NOOO WAY
to Livingston
Mancar - January 26, 2012
couldn't Julyan Stone be the same answer here?
I fail to see your reasoning in bringing on Livingston if it’s strictly for size.
NugNugz - January 26, 2012
agreed
Stone is the perfect GK pg/sg….always looking to get teammates easy hoops, and a hellova defender
JBnuggs - January 26, 2012
I guess I lobby for him mostly for personal reasons. I like him as a player… and I don’t see Stone as a 2nd PG if we want to go far in the playoffs.
JuBar - January 26, 2012
I like Livingston as a player too
but I don’t think he’s the answer for going far in the playoffs. That injury got the best of him.
NugNugz - January 26, 2012
I dont know much about Stone
but I think a PG should have an outside shots opponents have to respect. Does JS have that?

Livingston is HORRIBLE

ruralnugs - January 26, 2012
oh i go pulp all the way
it’s like a snack waiting for you at the bottom.
NugNugz - January 26, 2012
Exactly!
JBnuggs - January 26, 2012
hell yes to pulp
but I like both….Blue Monkey is tops
JBnuggs - January 26, 2012
yeah coconut water in general is money
but it costs a fortune here. When I was living in Mexico I’d basically have a bottomless cup for a buck. Here it’s like 4 bucks for the amount you’d get in a capri sun.
NugNugz - January 26, 2012
Vita Cottage
has em cheap. 1.50 for the tall can
JBnuggs - January 26, 2012
Man.
I know where I’m stocking up. That stuff is like crack.
ruralnugs - January 26, 2012
I buy it by the case
it’s JUST like crack, only better tasting and easier on the teef
JBnuggs - January 26, 2012
wait is this a store or a brand?
NugNugz - January 26, 2012
Store
Vitamin Cottage Hippy Grocers
ruralnugs - January 26, 2012
well sadly I don't live in the Denver area
so no go with that. Though I should note that I don’t trust hippies.
NugNugz - January 26, 2012
/has a sad
SDcat09 - January 26, 2012
Who doesn't trust hippies?
Aside from Eric Cartman? Who’d want to agree with that kid about anything?
Fly Agaric - January 26, 2012
they're tricksters.

Yes to this!
I’m huge on coconut water. And don’t even get me started on coconut oil! OMG!
Fly Agaric - January 26, 2012
I wasn't even aware that the Kroenke sports enterprise was even considering this
Fly Agaric - January 26, 2012
All in favor of changing the road jerseys to what we saw last night.. reply to me
5baker5 - January 26, 2012

JBnuggs - January 26, 2012
yes
bronchoratio - January 26, 2012
Brodo Baggins
we just need new jerseys in general.
NugNugz - January 26, 2012
nah, I still love the rich-n-creamys.
Rainbow skyline - January 26, 2012
not sure what you mean by this but now I'm hungry ;)
InboundingLobPass - January 26, 2012 via mobile
Well needless to say
I like the SKY BLUE. But these from time to time aren’t like the Worst Thing Ever
SDcat09 - January 26, 2012
Navy ones have a mixure of the sky blue...... way better
5baker5 - January 26, 2012
I cannot concur that the Navy Blue is way better
SDcat09 - January 26, 2012
Meh those jerseys are ok, it makes us look like the Spurs out there (I don't like that)
I still prefer the powder blues more.
JR15 - January 26, 2012
yeah
I think Nugget jerseys have to have a lot of gold and powder blue

The future of the Nuggets
WOW.
The Nuggets are so deep right now that they can’t even get their promising rookies on the court. Wilson could be back, they have all their picks, and you know what I forgot about?
In 2014, our pick from NYK is UNPROTECTED! It’s looking more and more like they’ll be a lottery pick next year, which could be huge.
plus I think 2016 “trade picks” is unprotected as well!
New York

as opposed to my new car – the gift that keeps on costing. (car payments)
NugNugz - January 26, 2012
The Gallo Trade
Somebody may have already mentioned this on another thread, but ESPN’s power rankings place the Nugs at 3 and Marc Stein writes, “No wonder Frank Isola of the New York Daily News proclaimed Saturday night on Twitter that we should start calling it the Gallo trade.”
bronchoratio - January 26, 2012
Koufas per 35 minutes: 13 points, 13 rebounds, 3.5 blocks, 1.5 steals.
NugNugz - January 26, 2012
That's easily worth 3mil/year IMO
best backup 7 footer we’ve had in….forever?
JBnuggs - January 26, 2012
eh what about Brian Williams
backing up Mutombo?
NugNugz - January 26, 2012
6'11"
doesn’t count
JBnuggs - January 26, 2012
forget how much GK hates hight
possible napoleon complex despite being 6’5"?
LaimbeersGuardianAngel - January 26, 2012
Isn't Karl shorter than that?
He’s not taller than Andre.
Yeah, I just looked online: 6’2". That’s plenty short enough to have a Napoleon Complex in the NBA.

stefk33 - January 26, 2012
my thoughts:
We had 4 free agents coming up this summer: gallo, koof, rudy, and Miller. The first 3 are youngsters. Gallo and koof got extensions. Rudy did not. This means that the nuggets are only looking to him as a one year solution or aren’t done evaluating him. Right now, from what I’ve seen, I would love to have him back as our backup pg. He can def do it.
I don’t believe miller is coming back. We could trade him for an asset as an expiring contract, but letting him expire is also a possibility. Memphis is looking to ditch OJ mayo at all costs, after throwing massive contracts at z-bo, gay, and gasol. Perhaps, miller + 2 2nd round picks for OJ? or rudy + miller for Oj.
I have full confidence in the return of Ill Will and i’m starting to really think bird may find himself amnestied.
Future Line up?
pg-ty/rudy/ stone
sg- AAA/ J-ham/ (OJ?)
sf-Gallo/Chandler/ Brewer
pf- Nene/ AL / Faried
C- Moz/ Koof/ Nene
TyLawesome - January 26, 2012
I'm under the impression that OJ Mayo is no longer on the block.
NugNugz - January 26, 2012
I want to mercilessly taunt every knicks fan I know...
but I am too nice for that
LaimbeersGuardianAngel - January 26, 2012
I imagine some Knicks fans are like some Giants fans
I wouldn’t want to mess with those people. New York sports fans are crazy intense. At least that’s my warped perception as a Denverite.
Fly Agaric - January 26, 2012
I'm a giants fan
we’re actually not that scary… also as a former knicks fan I can also say that knicks fan are just obnoxious but not that scary either… their basketball opinions are 100% on the money are your is stupid so they just don’t bother listening to people other than themselves speak
LaimbeersGuardianAngel - January 26, 2012
actually most new yorkers in general are like that
regardless of whether or not they follow sports
LaimbeersGuardianAngel - January 26, 2012
You are a Giants fan?

SDcat09 - January 26, 2012
I think we could take them in a 7 game series right now
They don’t have the depth that we do
Army of Nugs - January 26, 2012
I think Nene Mozgov frontcourt
Is better offensively vs Ibaka and Perkins, Nene got the beef again Ibaka and Mozzy dwarfs Perkins
CombatChuk - January 26, 2012
Hopefully he (Moz) can find some Russian nastiness
Russscot - January 26, 2012
I hope he unleashes the spirit of Stalin
and brings the sicle and hammer
CombatChuk - January 26, 2012
against Ibaka*
Last year with Nene and KMart all OKC did was shut down Nene and we had no post offense
CombatChuk - January 26, 2012
They didn't have anyone guard Kenyon on the baseline
They dared him to take the jumper.. Mozgov has a nice arching jumpshot compared to Kenyon throwing the ball at the rim like a rocket launcher.

Nene Mozgov

AWESOME throwbacks coming
but only for 3 games twice at home (Feb 23rd vs spurs and March 9th vs Hornets) and once on the road (Feb 11th @ pacers) throw backs are gonna be awesome and much better then those Jamaican Brazilian thing the grizzlies have going on
Chaunceysyoungestfan - January 26, 2012
And another Nuggets endorsement by Sir Charles.
Kevin L - January 27, 2012
yeah i was watching that
he said GK is the best coach in the league but i think he changed it later in the show to popovich as best coach then GK he also listed the nuggets as a surprise team in the nba and when they were going to commercial said every go watch those nuggets or somthing like that glad to see sir charles respects what were doing here
Chaunceysyoungestfan - January 27, 2012
Charles has liked the Nugz
Since that 58 point beatdown.
In his words, “The nuggets got mad that the Hornets beat them by 3 points do they decided to whoop their ass by 58 points.”
I will never forget that playoff game….best game ever!!!!!
