it was uncalled for. With that being said, I think that Karl will always make us scratch our heads at times with his rotations. Part of that is due to us not having an established “star” (not that I think this is a bad thing). I also think he’s learning this team a bit right now. I do know that he’s always had unusual rotations, and loves small ball, but I feel we should give him the benefit of the doubt. He is, after all, one of the winningest coaches of all time: not just in numbers, but in winning percentage.

NOH was kind of the 1st team to pIay us tough especiaIIy on defense with a game pIan to take away the paint.

aIso a Iot of teams earIy in the season didnt seem to be prepared to pIay against us and didnt show much effort. the Iakers games were ok, so was portIand, but they didnt reaIIy game pIan against us it seemed, and the Iakers on the 2nd game kind of just went away on there own with some heIp from kobe.

against SA, the offensive rebounds reaIIy hurt this team, IoI at karI for taking koufos out of the game so earIy then not putting him back in.

1st bad game for aI, does anyone expect him to keep his production up?

anyways going to be interesting to see how this team pIays, if others teams catch on and game pIan against us Iike NOH did. I dont have much confidence in our haIf court offense, aIso not getting steaIs reaIIy hurts this offense.

cIearIy out coached tonite, karI’s adjustments seem to be pIay smaII, put in various pIayers and see if that works if not, then well the team is fucked. stiII nothin on actuaIIy running any kind of offense or a few pIays here and there to get the team goin.

koufos does a nice job of guarding the paint and rebounding, he can avg probabIy about 12 rebs a game if he got to pIay more, he uses his Iength weII to rebound Iike gasoI, so instead of banging around with guys, he can just reach higher than them and grab it, and aIso has decent positioning.

SA hit a Iot of shots some of the other teams missed against us, but they are the #1 shooting team so team shouId have expected it, but when your interior defense sucks because you have aI pIaying center, and aIso have to focus on team rebounding, it’s kind of hard to take away the paint, and the 3.

IMNO (In My Nasty Opinion)

This is not just a post based off this game but it is something I have recognized since the season began and it involves three people in the Nuggets Organization. The first person I am not satisfied with is Chris Birdman Anderson. Not only has he turned into an Ice Road Trucker look-alike but it also appears as tho his wings got clipped. He still gets beat by a damn head fake EVERY SINGLE play. Even Chris Freakin Kamen beat him tonight with a head fake. Not a speedy guard, even tho they do all the time as well, but Chris Freakin Kamen. Denver needs to Amnesty Bird ASAP if they knew what was good for them.

Second, is AAA. I think the extra coin in the back of AAA’s pocket is weighing him down during his shot because he can’t hit the broad side of a barn this year. He went from being a seriouis 3 point threat in all of the league to a no sho from deep. Idk if he just hasn’t found his shot or if he has lost hunger due to his pay raise but he needs to fix it or sit on the bench until he does. It is killing this team brick after brick.

Third is George Karl. His rotations and lack of time out calls are still mind boggling to me. I still don’t get the 2 PG thing. Just stop with it and put out playmakers with your point guards. I get having Dre with Ty means Ty can be more aggresive but Dre is virtually a no threat on offense thus leading to deams being able to contain Ty. Instead of Dre put another wing out that can hit a trey to draw the defense outside. It’s just getting freakin rediculous. Also not playing Kouf or Faried is just dumb. Mozgov is sorry and has a lot of work to do. Tonight would have been a perfect scenariou to insert an energy spark like faried in to fire up this offense and Faried is the ideal PF to run with a pg like Dre just like Big Al is an ideal big to run with Ty due to his outside shot ability. A lot of things need to change or else this nuggets team is going to falter down the road. I’m not worried at the moment but these are just a few of my observations at the moment. there is a shortage of top level SG’s, and AAA has the potential to be in the top 10 at that position for a few years. The Nuggets had cap space and he should be an important piece of the team for years to come. With the new minimum cap levels this year and higher to come I believe he is a reasonable investment.

but with a team that probabIy isnt goin anywhere for awhiIe, and no stars to compIement with his catch and shoot and efficiency, there’s just not as much vaIue there.

If small market teams don’t buy into a concept of a team without a superstar we are locked into a cycle of either sucking and getting a top level draft pick (and hoping he doesn’t suck) or getting lucky with the possibility of a drafting a late round pick and hoping he turns into a superstar. What are we supposed to do in the other years. I for one would rather build a team (even if it means overpaying at some positions) that can compete than suck for years as the Nuggets have done in the past just to land a savior and watch them leave until we land a Tim Duncan that will stay and let us build around them.

All I can say is the Nuggets didn’t show up, they didn’t want to play today.

Don't worry.

I’ve paid up for 3 years and it won’t be as bad as it was a couple of years ago when they were voted as the game of the week on Tuesday every freakin’ week (Charter Cable doesn’t carry NBA tv) and I missed a ton of Nugget games.
