With the evil "Ankle Injury Leprechaun" striking the Nuggets yet again, this time with Ty Lawson and Arron Afflalo, they prepare to take on the Los Angeles Clippers for the third time this season. This time facing a familiar face on a new team, yet again.

Game: 34
Records:
Denver: 18-15 (9-8 on the road)
Streak: won 1
Clippers: 19-11 (11-4 at home)Injuries:
Denver: Danilo Gallinari (left ankle sprain) is out. Nene (left calf strain) is questionable. Rudy Fernandez (lower back strain) is day to day. Arron Afflalo (sprained ankle) is day to day. Ty Lawson (sprained ankle) is day to day
Clippers: Chauncey Billups (torn Achilles) out for rest of season.Television: Altitude
Season Series: tied 1-1
Opposition's Take: Clips Nation
This will be the third time in a month the Nuggets have played the Los Angeles Clippers. They should be quite familiar with this team by now, and Timofey Mozgov seems to be public enemy number one in Clipper-land because of his hard/not hard foul on Blake Griffin, February 2nd. It is undeniable that the Nuggets responded to that incident and went on to crush the Clippers in LA that night (112-91).
Aside from that, as we all know, circumstances are a bit different now. Chauncey Billups went down with a torn Achilles tendon not long after the Nuggets played the Clips in Los Angeles (Feb. 6th). Meanwhile the Nuggets have been through one calamitous injury after another. Since then, Nene Hilario, Danilo Gallinari, Mozgov, Afflalo and Rudy Fernandez, and Lawson have all missed time or are still missing time. In fact, the victory over the Clips on the Feb. 2nd may count as the highest point of this early season for the Nuggets. From there, the team has suffered through a month so hellish, Dante most likely wrote about it in his Inferno (3-8 since Feb. 2nd).
One further difference for the Clips is the addition of former Nuggets power forward Kenyon Martin. K-Mart unleashed a bit of controversy earlier this week when he made some rather incendiary comments toward his former coach George Karl. Regardless of what side you come down on in that particular debate, it definitely added some spice to this burgeoning rivalry. I always liked K-Mart, and despite the recent revisionist history ... the last several seasons, when healthy, Kenyon was the absolute key to the Nuggets' toughness. Sometimes I wish we had that toughness back. It will be interesting to see if he provides some of that tough-minded defense for the Clippers going forward.
As always the triumvirate of Chris Paul, Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan will be the focal points for the Nuggets to stop, or at the very least contain. It looks like the addition of Mozgov has, at the very least, neutralized Jordan's high flying blocking and alley oop dunking. Griffin has gone off in both games, but wasn't the same after Moz laid him out when attempting another dunk. Paul was a bit of a no-show in the second Nuggets meeting and surely will be looking to play better tonight. With the Clippers on a recent two game losing streak, they seek to end that against a heavily injured Nuggets team.
Nuggets of Wisdom
Who will play tonight for our Denver Nuggets? Will these players be stitched together with bailing wire and duct tape? The rash of ankle injuries is disturbing in many ways, not the least of which is its target on the Nuggets who are the biggest playmakers on the team. The Gallo injury is by far the one that affects the team the most, as he (with the clarity of his absence) is the glue that holds this offense and some of the defense together. Ty Lawson's ankle injury also hurts because it looked like he was starting to break out of his periodic "won't drive the ball or stay aggressive" swoon.
In all honesty, this may be one of those games where you just have to put a team on the court and pray that they can pull off a miracle of some sort. With the VERY real chance that the Nuggets may be missing both Ty and AAA tonight the likelihood of a Andre Miller, Al Harrington, Corey Brewer, Moz and Kenneth Faried starting lineup will be out there to face the Clippers. With Julyan Stone, Kosta Koufos, Jordan Hamilton and Chris Andersen on the bench.
I've seen stranger things happen than a Nuggets victory tonight. Hell, the fourth quarter and overtime of the Minnesota Timberwolves game may be proof that anything can happen. I have no expectations and I'm hoping beyond hope to be surprised and delighted. Let's see if it happens. I'm remaining hopeful the Nuggets can suddenly get healthy and surprise us all tonight.
Either way GO NUGGETS!

Nice write up, Jeff.
But a couple of things: the link for Clips Nation has a typo in it and is broken, and I think you dropped a “t” in your title (stich? really??)
Russscot - February 22, 2012
hope we can pull this one out
since the spurs are probably already in Denver waiting for us to get back.
808inDenver - February 22, 2012
plus they rested Parker & Duncan last night against Portland
ParkHillNative - February 22, 2012
What revisionist history on Martin?
People were saying for years that his sign and trade was terrible, he was overpaid, and he cost the nuggets their legitimate window on a title with Melo. What revision? Kmart was a very good player when healthy. He health issues rendered him into fools gold.
ThrowItDownBigManThrowItDown - February 22, 2012
how does being good when not injured make him fools gold
While his contract was prohibitive…blame Kiki…not Kenyon
Jeffrey Morton - February 22, 2012
Being good when not injured is exactly what made him fools gold
He’d look all shiny and valuable, then get injured and be unable to provide any useful service. Relying on Kmart to be a key rotation player most often resulted in disappointment.
ThrowItDownBigManThrowItDown - February 22, 2012
Man....I see it the exact opposite
relying on Kenyon as a key rotation player proved its immense value in 2010 when he was out and our defense collapsed down the stretch. There was no doubt that season who was the MVP.
Jeffrey Morton - February 22, 2012
Exactly
he became worthless and the defense collapsed. Playing Kenyon Martin was a recipe for having your team collapse. He is a Ducati – looks great in the showroom, has great performance, and if you take it on a trip, you’ll end up stranded on the side of the road. That Honda that passes you will look very nice as it goes by on it’s way to winning in the playoffs.
ThrowItDownBigManThrowItDown - February 22, 2012
I see it as bad, bad luck for the Nuggets
It’s been so long now, I don’t remember what his health issues were when he signed the contract. Should the Nuggets have seen the trouble coming?
Sometimes I think the Denver Nuggets are cursed.
ParkHillNative - February 22, 2012
I was excited when they signed him
and certainly bad luck. My anger with the contract is pure hindsight. He did have a broken leg in college, and the fact that the Nets weren’t offering him a similar contract should have been a red flag.
ThrowItDownBigManThrowItDown - February 22, 2012
Even if you take out the health issues
KMart was still vastly overrated. Yes, it was not his fault Kiki gave him that contract, but the bottom line is KMart was still a flawed player. And the bottom line is that the player + the salary = the impact. Having a limited player make that much money hamstrung this team for years. So while I enjoyed some of what KMart brought, you cannot discuss KMart without including the albatross contract.
NugzJunkie - February 22, 2012
Put the Kmart signing in context
It was not a good contract, but at the time he was signed, the Nuggets needed two things, a PG (Miller signed) and muscle on the blocks due to the fact that Camby and Nene are soft. Kmart was a 14 and 8 guy that provided toughness. Certainly he was paid too much, but he was one of the biggest names on the market back then, coming off of championship runs and he was seen as the person that could get the Nuggets past the first round and potentially much further. It didn’t work out…but Kmart is not a scrub either, and he certanily wasn’t when he signed.
Pusherman - February 22, 2012
THIS
SDcat09 - February 22, 2012
Since he was injured when we needed him
I think its pretty obvious. And if he wasn’t injured he was busy complaining about calls, getting T’s and generally being a non +.
georgekarl - February 22, 2012
You mean like 90% of the NBA? Weak argument
And Kmart was a HUGE plus on defense. While he was a sub par defensive rebounder he did actually quarterback the defense ala Kevin Garnett (although KG has always been a better all around player)
Jeffrey Morton - February 22, 2012
Thats 90% of the nba too
Pick one big name and put your guy up against him and show he’s better.
All around though you seriously would have taken kmart of Garnett?
Let’s not forget when he was the ultimate target after getting a rebound because he couldn’t buy a free throw.
georgekarl - February 22, 2012
Under those perameters Dwight Howard is a scrub...
Jeffrey Morton - February 22, 2012
Totally with Jeff Morton on this one.
K-Mart was a boss defender. One of the better one-the-ball defenders in the NBA. Love him and miss his interior toughness.
Fly Agaric - February 22, 2012
All I remember
is Kmart on the ground in game 6 of WCF grabbing dudes legs. Kmart was good/ok at times, but by no means great.
NewEraNugg - February 22, 2012
Good defender terrible on offense.
Why do you think the GM of the year didn’t want to keep him around?
georgekarl - February 22, 2012
No one wants to mention the dumb fouls
the costly technicals, the decision to start shooting threes, the “Maybe I just won’t come back for the playoffs” “They could have given that money to me” (talking about Al’s contract)"
Has our team now shown us nothing? We don’t need these selfish players who only care about stats and money. K-mart was detrimental to this team and I’m happy he’s gone
Zachm219 - February 22, 2012
KMart played fake defense
he would preach it, yap about it to his teammates even on the floor, but would only back it up 50% of the time. I will admit he played some amazing D at times (thinking of the Dallas series) but other times he would be the reason for the missed assignment. I will stick to the fact that he was flawed.
NugzJunkie - February 22, 2012
He totally blew that game for the clippers against san antonio
His incredible defending created the ultimate mismatch when he switched off of Duncan. You can set your watch by kmart doing something stupid.
georgekarl - February 22, 2012
Can we please put that farce to rest
I always hear “K-mart was so good on Dirk in that series, he’s a dirk stopper rabble rabble rabble.”
Don’t you people remember Dirk was the one player killing us in that series. That he was completely unstoppable? That he averaged a double double to the tune of 34.4 pts and 11.6 reb?
Zachm219 - February 22, 2012
i have to side w Kmart on this tho
GK should just keep his mouth shut.
808inDenver - February 22, 2012
Not me
Kmart should shut it, it’s over Kmart, they signed young dependable guys.
My respect for Karl went up after he called Melo out, that was the least he could do for Nugget fans after months of BS.
They already beat Melo, now lets see them go shut Kmart up too!
NewEraNugg - February 22, 2012
Your respect may have gone up
but clearly it cost Karl respect of the players in the locker room, exactly as I said at the time he did it.
ThrowItDownBigManThrowItDown - February 22, 2012
The
Association tells a different story. Seems like most players like George to me. Not everyone is going to like you all the time, especially w/ some of these primadonnas in the NBA. It was always the same w/ Kmart, get hurt and watch his attitude sour, can’t blame George for that.
NewEraNugg - February 22, 2012
The current players haven't been exposed to him for very long yet
Karl’s history is that the players get along with him for a while, then he loses the team. In his prior stops, the teams fired him when it happened. This time, Melo forced his way out and the rebuilt the team when it happened. So he has a new lease before the current group turns on him.
ThrowItDownBigManThrowItDown - February 22, 2012
So now we're blaming Melo leaving on Geroge Karl too?
you guys are ridiculous
Zachm219 - February 22, 2012
thought u were gonna take a break from stiffs
808inDenver - February 22, 2012
There's a reason that, through every stop in his coaching career he's had players who hate him
it’s because he can’t…keep…his…mouth…shut. Something compels George to say something when nothing needs to be said.
Jeffrey Morton - February 22, 2012
I believe Karl's inner censor is brokteded
He pretty much always says what’s on his mind, no matter what. The bouts with cancer may have softened his temper somewhat, but he still just says the first thing he thinks.
Russscot - February 22, 2012
agree Russ
I see some impulsivity in what GK says and even his rotations. IMO GK is smart but immature.
sgiustra - February 22, 2012
Also
alot of players that love him. Can’t just focus on the haters
to me Kmart’s comments were sour grapes over not being resigned or even presented w/ the opportunity
NewEraNugg - February 22, 2012
How is it different
for Karl to say bad things to the media after the Melo trade and for Kmart to say bad things about Karl when he is on another team? Exactly the same.
It’s office politics, and it is an important lesson that anyone who plans on working with other people needs to learn. I was told about it at a very young age, didn’t want to believe it, then had it nearly cost me my job. It has already cost Karl jobs in the past.
ThrowItDownBigManThrowItDown - February 22, 2012
I don't think
it’s different, I’m just not going to side w/ Kmart. Dude is a hot head w/ bad knees. Karl said what was on his mind after going through months of drama, most of which you & I have no idea about. Kmart has sour grapes for the Nuggets over way more then just Karl and lashes our a year later?
NewEraNugg - February 22, 2012
Maybe he's ADD
SDcat09 - February 22, 2012
While I agree that Karl is madening at times
with not keeping his mouth shut…there are plenty of other very good coaches that don’t either.
NugzJunkie - February 22, 2012
I never thought about Karl saying something about Melo as a way to speaking up for Nuggets fans. I like that. Preach on George!
Nate Timmons - February 22, 2012
you could
hear the frustration in his voice on the Association. “we were dying” he says.
It hurt him, hurt his team, why not say something?
Preach on George!
NewEraNugg - February 22, 2012
Again....why say what doesn't need to be said
let your team’s play speak for itself. Don’t throw that little extra elbow in at the end to extract your pound of flesh.
Jeffrey Morton - February 22, 2012
It is very short sighted
it feels good in the short run, but in the long run it causes you problems. Have to learn to pick your spots and not start unnecessary wars.
ThrowItDownBigManThrowItDown - February 22, 2012
Maybe
to him it wasn’t unnecessary
NewEraNugg - February 22, 2012
Exactly, to each their own
Karl and the team were screwed over all year by Melo-drama, and you are going to pick at Karl for saying a few things about how much better the team concept and locker room are now. It was obvious to everyone! So why pick at George for actually having the balls to say it.
I agree that George needs to be careful about guys on his team, not allowing tension to creep into the locker room, but goodness, I think picking at George for his statements is ridiculous…so KMart should keep his mouth shut.
NugzJunkie - February 22, 2012
Thing is George always manages to find a scapegoat
every season. It doesn’t reflect well on his leadership for him to do this.
SDcat09 - February 22, 2012
well said
ParkHillNative - February 22, 2012
I think they both should have kept their mouths shut
SDcat09 - February 22, 2012
This
ThrowItDownBigManThrowItDown - February 22, 2012
Maybe kmart will pull a chauncey and get revenge on his former team that dissed him.
Then again, I think if he tries to wobble that much in one game his knees will blow up again.
georgekarl - February 22, 2012
Let's hope he tries!
Crossing my fingers that Kmart makes a 15 footer early on, so he gets into one of those chucking moods!
UKnowULovedVanQwik - February 22, 2012
Regardless of the outcome
I’m looking forward to Faried coming from no where to completely reject Griffin on one of his showboat dunks. The Clippers shouldn’t be mad at Moz about that block. The reality is that Griffin was showboating and that’s why the block resulted in him landing awkwardly. If it had been a normal dunk, he would have landed on his feet.
ThrowItDownBigManThrowItDown - February 22, 2012
Griffin trys to make every dunk a highlight.
I blame ESPN and Kia
Russscot - February 22, 2012
I think he'll learn
to tone it down a little after a few more blocks like the one from Mozzy. I hope he learns it before it costs him a serious injury. He is really exposing himself.
ThrowItDownBigManThrowItDown - February 22, 2012
Agreed.
You would think that after missing his entire rookie year to injury, he might have wised up some. And, for the record, when he’s in the open court, I have no problem with the highlight dunks. This is, after all, entertainment. It’s when he’s dunking in traffic out of the half court set, and he gets that body lean going in the air, that he’s really putting his entire career in jeopardy.
Russscot - February 22, 2012
I think, to a certain extent, he expects people to get out of the way.
Pusherman - February 22, 2012
yup
although I don’t remember that rookie year injury being from a big showboating in-your-face dunk.
And yeah, he really does need to think about those big throwdowns when somebody’s right up on him. But I’m glad he did it to Perkins.
ParkHillNative - February 22, 2012
That wasn't even a dirty play by Mozgov
Clips fans are retarded.
NugzJunkie - February 22, 2012
they're just making shit up
sgiustra - February 22, 2012
Yes TIDBMTID
I’m salivating at the thought of Griff, ball, and Faried meeting somewhere 2/3 up on the backboard. May the best man win.
sgiustra - February 22, 2012
What do y'all think of putting AAA on Paul and 'Dre on Foye?
Assuming, of course, that Ty sits out.
Russscot - February 22, 2012
AAA
and Ty played CP3 very well last time. Hope to see alot of AAA in CP3s grill tonight, that is if he plays
NewEraNugg - February 22, 2012
Yeah, if we're without
AAA, Ty, Nene, Gallo, and Rudy, I think Karl just starts throwing out line-ups without any real purpose more than usual. Although JStone on Paul could be intriguing…maybe he could get under his skin like Dahntey did a few years back.
Russscot - February 22, 2012
If his ankle and toe doesn't bother him too much I would like to see AAA on Paul.
But if he is still hurting and can’t handle the cuts from Paul then I hope george makes a change. I don’t count on that though.
georgekarl - February 22, 2012
is there a positive side ot all this loosing and injuries?
maybe.
if we take Kenneth Faried’s last game (and continual improvement) and the emergence of Kosta Koofus as a beginning, then there could be some extremely positive things in store for the Nuggets. One day, and not too far in the future, the Nuggs will have their players well and ready to play. When that day comes, our “role players” will have had some valuable time, and the Nuggs will be ready to make the playoff push.
Remember, while Gallo is out, he is also resting and there is a positive to that also.
spokenwar - February 22, 2012
I hope this theory is correct
others have said the same as you. I worry about the Juwan Howard effect. Getting minutes on a bad team inflates stats and can make guys look better than they are. Right now, the nuggets one the court have shown flashes, but haven’t been good enough to win. Are they improving, or are they benefiting from stat inflation?
ThrowItDownBigManThrowItDown - February 22, 2012
There may
be positive w/ all these guys getting time now. Should make the team stronger when injuried guys return.
NewEraNugg - February 22, 2012
hey spokenwar
you’d make a good friend for someone who’s wife just cheated on him and investments went south
Nah, the injuries have crushed us and having to play a top tier team in playoffs (IF we make the playoffs) is not a good thing.
sgiustra - February 22, 2012
whomp waaaaaaa
Rainbow skyline - February 22, 2012
dunno... good question
let’s look at it this way. Faried did ok with K. Love. We will certainly learn more tonight
spokenwar - February 22, 2012
I think K. Love is a prime example of the Juwan Howard effect.
ThrowItDownBigManThrowItDown - February 22, 2012
well im suree the Nuggets
will mis Ty and AAA, just because it seems like every game now-a-days they are missing 3-5 guys.. If they don’t miss Ty and AAA I expect to see a lineup of Ty Dre AAA Rudy and Big Al in the final 8 minutes, and im sure I will be dissapointed with the outcome… if this happens again I will be fully on the fire GK side. His retarded rotations are starting to take their toll on me.
NastyNessy71 - February 22, 2012
Rudy is most likely not gonna play, so you'll have to find a different patsy for your closing line-up
Russscot - February 22, 2012
AAA most likely will give it a go tonight
that guy hates missing games. He might not be 100% but I’m sure he’ll start tonight
JBnuggs - February 22, 2012
If he is not 100% he shouldn't guard Paul
Paul will eat him for lunch. Try Brewer on Paul.
Pusherman - February 22, 2012
I agree
but he’ll play if he can
JBnuggs - February 22, 2012
So let me get this straight
The starting lineup, when everybody’s healthy, is supposed to be Lawson-Afflalo-Gallinari-Nene-Mozgov. And we might be missing four of those guys tonight?
For fuck’s sake.
ParkHillNative - February 22, 2012
On paper
it doesn’t look good.
ThrowItDownBigManThrowItDown - February 22, 2012
"On paper...it doesn’t look good."
may look worse on court
sgiustra - February 22, 2012
Rough
Can’t wait for Gallo, Ty, and Nene to be back. And would be nice the sooner we can get Chandler.
While most everyone has been critical of Nene for his passive play, and rightly so, he actually can be a very good playmaker in the post, as he does create opportunities for the rest of the team. He is what he is, but they don’t have another player of his caliber at his position.
Very interested to see how many minutes Faried gets on Griffin tonight, and how they handle the pick and roll tonight.
Kleiza's Corner - February 22, 2012
Karl said yesterday
that they expect Gallo back soon after the ASG. Maybe not the first game back, but hopefully the second or third game.
ThrowItDownBigManThrowItDown - February 22, 2012
Zhejiang Guangsha lost their first playoff game today 103-106
I believe the first round is best of 3, so Chandler could be free by Friday. Should have him back for the first game after the all star break.
donwoe - February 22, 2012
Thanks for the update
Still it makes no sense… what exactly was the favor Guangsha management did him if he still has to wait for them to get ousted for his Letter of Clearance!
UKnowULovedVanQwik - February 22, 2012
More likely to lose quickly
if he isn’t on the court.
ThrowItDownBigManThrowItDown - February 22, 2012
heres hoping for an example of the ewing theory
everybody is out and they scratch together a win
Kevin #3 - February 22, 2012
Yes
and thankfully the one guy we do have is coming back from an injury and averages 15 minutes per start
RoxWS2014 - February 22, 2012
I think faried can handle griffin
at least athletically, faried doesn’t lose out. how awesome would it be when griffin goes real high for one of his flashy dunks and faried meets him up there for an epic block.
Japheth:the.other.kind.of.asian. - February 22, 2012
I'd agree with this. Griffin isn't a post player who bodies you alot
he likes to coast on the wing and look for dunk opportunities. You just need to stay in front of him.
Jeffrey Morton - February 22, 2012
Faried just needs to out jump Griffin.
Every griffin dunk will be an offensive foul.
georgekarl - February 22, 2012
yes OKofA
The Faried-Griff match up is looking intriguing. But Nene played Griff pretty well. We’ll see.
sgiustra - February 22, 2012
Would have been nice to have had Wilson signed and ready to play tonight
but I guess there’s still a holdup there. We could use an extra body right about now.
the real stranger - February 22, 2012
Even if he signed today,
He’s not going to be eligible to play until after he gets his FIBA clearance
Russscot - February 22, 2012
Plus, he needs at least some practice with the team
Probably see him after the ASG.
ThrowItDownBigManThrowItDown - February 22, 2012
It's probably best he comes in when Gallo and Nene get back anyway
that way we set a consistent rotation off the bat
Jeffrey Morton - February 22, 2012
All those teams playing us in March
be prepared to be destroyed
Phil H. - February 22, 2012
JR didnt practice with the NYN and he still played i dont think he needs practice hes in game shape from playing in china
cfact - February 22, 2012
If I see another completely average dunk from Griffin on top-10 I am flipping shit
and by that meaning flipping the channel after a slight moan. Yes he can dunk hard but damn it’s not that incredible every time. Ahem…anyways, I want more Russian smash tonight
Phil H. - February 22, 2012
Hopefully the Nuggets' starting backcourt is good to go.
I don’t really think Paul was a, “no-show” last game, as referred to in the preview; AAA played great pressure defense on him, had him frustrated and making mistakes. Also, when CP3 was trying his Flop-City tricks, the referees weren’t giving him calls and it caused him to make some turnovers while expecting bail out whistles.
NuggetsFan99 - February 22, 2012
From Hooch
Jeffrey Morton - February 22, 2012
Just rest them
Start Stone, AAA, Hamilton, Faried, Mozgov
have Brewer, Dre, Al and Koufos off the bench
CombatChuk - February 22, 2012
Karl start 3 rookies?
I think he would suit up before even considering that.
Army of Nugs - February 22, 2012
i pretty sure dre would start over stone but resting the other guys is prob the best thing for them
cfact - February 22, 2012
also i think al needs to have a rest i would just sit him for the next two games but it would prob piss him off
but hes an old man in the nba so going to best thing for the team rest him as well
cfact - February 22, 2012
We need to start Harrington and play him 48 minutes solid
georgekarl - February 22, 2012
Yes!
Fly Agaric - February 22, 2012
That is at SG by the way
Army of Nugs - February 22, 2012
I need my older players on the floor at all times. They are the only ones I trust.
So tonight I’m starting:
Harrington
Miller
Nene
Andersen
Fernandez
For the closers I will use:
Fernandez
Andersen
Nene
Miller
Harrington
georgekarl - February 22, 2012
ICWYDT
The U.N. Fab Five - February 22, 2012
That symmetry thing is cool.
If it makes you feel any better if we still had Forbes I’d start him tonight.
georgekarl - February 22, 2012
Overtime
53 minutes.
ThrowItDownBigManThrowItDown - February 22, 2012
My overtime lineup will be
Nene
Kmart
Chauncey
Bill Walton
Shawn Kemp
georgekarl - February 22, 2012
Totally unrealistic
only one guard?
ThrowItDownBigManThrowItDown - February 22, 2012
Let me fix it
Chauncey, Ty, Dre, AC, and Kemp
Army of Nugs - February 22, 2012
Still a little tall for my taste
Maybe swap out Kemp with Kenny Smith.
georgekarl - February 22, 2012
How about chucky atkins and earl boykins?
moondoggie12 - February 22, 2012
I thought about 5

georgekarl - February 22, 2012
Johnson
Jordan
Peyton

ThrowItDownBigManThrowItDown - February 22, 2012
where's earl?
Patrick KB. Nugget - February 22, 2012
Missing the game tonight
And tomorrow’s game I’ll be on a plane to the bay area.
LAME.
Fly Agaric - February 22, 2012
Which Bay?
The bay area is pretty non specific. After the bay area, I’m headed to the land area!
ThrowItDownBigManThrowItDown - February 22, 2012
There's really only one Bay Area
in the US that is also a major population center.
But, I’m going to San Francisco / Oakland / Berkeley for some music and political activism BS.
Fly Agaric - February 22, 2012
Don't get tased
Army of Nugs - February 22, 2012
It's not so bad, really
You just have to be careful not to chomp down on your tongue when all those volts are coursing through your body.
Fly Agaric - February 22, 2012
You sound like you've been playing
Ultimate Taser Ball
ThrowItDownBigManThrowItDown - February 22, 2012
I know how it feels
to be certified with one, you must go through it
Army of Nugs - February 22, 2012
Do they let you wear a mouthpiece?
Not too long ago some crazy dude was running around my old neighborhood with a long knife, there was only one cop at the scene so I kind of blocked his way on the sidewalk until the cop told me to move.
Shortly thereafter another cop showed up and tased the dude. It was kinda funny, because he was screaming “You can’t hurt me! I’m super man! I’m invinci —” ZAP!
And down he went.
Fly Agaric - February 22, 2012
yeah i got the mouthpiece
longest 5 seconds of my life too. Complete body workout. The worst part though was the firefighters removing the two prongs.
Army of Nugs - February 22, 2012
Ow!
I’ve only ever been tased with the handheld ones. If I know it is coming, I can get all Zen-like and it just passes over me like a more pinchy electro-shock therapy.
But if I don’t know it is coming, you don’t even know what it is at first. So disconcerting.
Fly Agaric - February 22, 2012
Nope, I got the X26
check it on youtube. thing is not a joke
Army of Nugs - February 22, 2012
well
have fun
sgiustra - February 22, 2012
hahahhaha I'm sorry
But I just LOL’d in a training class reading this comment
CombatChuk - February 22, 2012
I want to meet the creator of tasers
And find out what the hell was wrong with him to want to create something that shocks the shit out of people
Army of Nugs - February 22, 2012
Yeah, what was he thinking
Shooting people with guns was working just fine.
ThrowItDownBigManThrowItDown - February 22, 2012
honestly
i would rather get shot and die than go through another 5 seconds of being electrocuted like that! Also, beanbags shot from shotguns are damn effective
Army of Nugs - February 22, 2012
They also hurt like hell and sometimes cause internal bleeding.
most less lethal weapons are pretty gnarly.
Japheth:the.other.kind.of.asian. - February 22, 2012
Just use good ole' beating batons...
Cheap and low tech
CombatChuk - February 22, 2012
and effective
Zachm219 - February 22, 2012
Beanbags won't stop
a 300 pound muscle head with roid rage.
ThrowItDownBigManThrowItDown - February 22, 2012
Depends where you shoot em
get em in the groin and they go down. Tasers are effective, but from experience, they fucking suck!!!!!
Army of Nugs - February 22, 2012
So
you don’t want to be on the Stiffs ultimate taser ball team?
ThrowItDownBigManThrowItDown - February 22, 2012
easy now
never said that, in fact, who else would you have as captain?
Army of Nugs - February 22, 2012
You want a list
of who I would most enjoy watch being repeatedly tasered?
ThrowItDownBigManThrowItDown - February 22, 2012
YES!
as long as I am not on it
Army of Nugs - February 22, 2012
1) Karl Rove
2) Glenn Beck
3) George Karl
4) Tom Cruise
5) Ryan Seacrest
ThrowItDownBigManThrowItDown - February 22, 2012
Add to this list
Lebron James
Russell Westbrook
CombatChuk - February 22, 2012
solid list
Army of Nugs - February 22, 2012
west-brick
rick santorum
stephen a smith
Kevin #3 - February 22, 2012
solid list
JBnuggs - February 22, 2012
Stephen A Smith is very annoying
I hate when him and Skip Clueless get together and talk about Tebow
TheMozgovCocktail - February 22, 2012
How is Kobe absent from this list?
SDcat09 - February 22, 2012
damn
new i forgot to add somebody. add in kobe, chris webber, and royce young
Kevin #3 - February 22, 2012
I kinda like Kobe
He can be a dick but he’s a straight shooter. Love him calling out the Lakers organization
TheMozgovCocktail - February 22, 2012
Kobe is a great basketball player
That’s the only nice thing I have to say about him.
SDcat09 - February 22, 2012
Kobe has some obvious flaws
but he isn’t afraid to tell it like it is. That is what I like about they guy.
TheMozgovCocktail - February 22, 2012
IMO, he tells it like he believes it is
Not necessarily how it really is.
But I’ll just leave it at that :)
SDcat09 - February 22, 2012
Well he has a point about Lakers management
TheMozgovCocktail - February 22, 2012
Kobe is an amazing basketball player
Otherwise, I’m going to have to say he’s kind of a dick, given what I know about him.
Still, I love love love watching Olympic Basketball (Which is, by the by, the best exhibition of basketball ever made) and I love that Kobe is on my team
Zachm219 - February 22, 2012
I've worked in the electrical trade in some capacity or another my whole life
It never feels good., I think its counter productive ass a police weapon, at least for me. Volts just make me even angrier
Zachm219 - February 22, 2012
Ridiculous that mozgov is our only uninjured starter
Really hope Ty plays and we could use some Rudy though I would love to see jham come out with a bog game.
TyLawesome - February 22, 2012
and he is recovering from injury still
Army of Nugs - February 22, 2012
luckily
he’s an MVP candidate
sgiustra - February 22, 2012
Small world and small minds
K-Mart’s “comments” are another example of how small the world it is and the minds in it can be. I think they are actually funny. The idea that Melo would have stayed in Denver if the “organization” was better is hilarious. The Denver FO tried incredibly hard to build a team around Melo (and K-Mart). Maybe they didn’t do the right moves, had bad luck and then in the end became dysfunctional as a FO might be all true, but the effort was there. Melo just wanted to move on to a big market. Pretty simple.
I think Denver got lucky with Ujiri hire and hopefully have a highly functional FO now. In fact they may be able to reach new heights of success off the foundation built by the “Melo era”.
K-Mart probably does have some bitter feelings and maybe rightfully so. He has always played on rage and anger, it is what motivates him. But the story was just another example of a reporter needling a player about a sore subject to get some juicy quotes.
In the end, it isn’t that big of a deal.
djyoung71 - February 22, 2012
your post is worth of a column DJ
sgiustra - February 22, 2012
it's a joke
melo went to the most profoundly disfunctional organization in basketball, and was happy for them to gut their team to get him. Kmart is an idiot as usual.
Rainbow skyline - February 22, 2012
Exactly
Melo was gone no matter what. This is why I can’t side w/ Kmart on these comments…if the organization was better blah blah blah…here’s one Kmart, maybe you should have earned your money and actually played the majority of the time. Don’t say that to him though, he might send goons into the stands to get you.
NewEraNugg - February 22, 2012
Great news people!
Today is national margarita day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Army of Nugs - February 22, 2012
Does this mean I get a free margarita somewhere?
SDcat09 - February 22, 2012
Not sure
But I have to go find somewhere to get one down here. Maybe Chili’s
Army of Nugs - February 22, 2012
That's what I was thinking. Maybe Chili's
SDcat09 - February 22, 2012
Wait, you're in Peru and you're going to go to Chili's?
I’d think you’d want more of the local flavor.
SDcat09 - February 22, 2012
Margarita
not from Peru. If i want a good one, have to go to Chilis or TGI Fridays
Army of Nugs - February 22, 2012
But still...Chili's? Bah..I am disappoint
Surely local yokels can make a margarita somewhere!
SDcat09 - February 22, 2012
not a lot of tequila down here
main alcohol is Pisco.
Army of Nugs - February 22, 2012
Welp, there's your fortune
1) Import best tequila
2) Buy Triple Sec
3) Buy blender
4) Stand on street corner
5 PROFIT!
SDcat09 - February 22, 2012
OMG
you are a genius! or i could sit at home and hold english lessons for $20 an hour per person to 4-5 people at a time. Plus, if I go outside, I am going to the beach
Army of Nugs - February 22, 2012
Get yourself a little kiosk
Stand on the beach and sell margaritas.
SDcat09 - February 22, 2012
Switch that triple sec to grand marnier
Squeeze a lime and half a lemon and add a dash of apple juice (trust me) and you cant be beat!
Also lose the blender, rocks and salt.
Zachm219 - February 22, 2012
i'd gladly sit with a cool pisco sour
on the beach in peru! pisco isn’t a bad alternative to tequila!
bcbuds - February 22, 2012
no it is not!
but had too much of it 2 weeks ago for the pisco festival
Army of Nugs - February 22, 2012
damn the pisco festival
sounds like you’re having a jolly good time! saludos!
bcbuds - February 22, 2012
i have been
its like a permanent vacation. just need the guy to come install air conditioning already
Army of Nugs - February 22, 2012
Neither
go to the mexican place downtown denver. Can’t remember the name.
ThrowItDownBigManThrowItDown - February 22, 2012
But he's in Peru I'm pretty sure
SDcat09 - February 22, 2012
right you are
Army of Nugs - February 22, 2012
d'corazon?
love and miss that place.
Rainbow skyline - February 22, 2012
Benny's?
Not the best Margaritas, but they are inexpensive and good enough.

The Rio
ThrowItDownBigManThrowItDown - February 22, 2012
The one in Boulder had to temporarily stop serving booze recently
for serving minors. Instead of pretending that people would come in for just their horrendous food, they shut down completely and gave everyone a vacation.
love4nuggets - February 22, 2012
And about the games...
So the Nuggets have 2 games left before the all-star break. The past month has ground the Nuggets in the back of the pack in the Western Conference playoff hunt, but it has also let the bench players (esp the rooks) develop at a much faster pace. I have been impressed with how hard the team has played the last 3/4 games.
This will make the team much more dangerous post all-star break. Even if they can’t sneak a win out of the next two games.
For tonight, I think Ty will be a big loss if he is a no go. Clips are a bad defensive team, esp against dribble penetration. If he can’t go, the Nuggets need to turn it into a complete scramble game and hope they can turn the Clips over.
If that happens then there are going to be dunks galore. And probably the worst thing about tonight’s game? The Spurs are watching if from Denver. Sigh… it is a hellish February.
djyoung71 - February 22, 2012
Faired posts 20-20 to ight in a win
Book it!
TyLawesome - February 22, 2012
will do, Danno!
sgiustra - February 22, 2012
Really hope AAA gives it a go tonight
We need him on CP3. As for the starting lineup if Ty and AAA can’t go it should be
Miller
Hamilton
Brewer
Faried
Moz
Keep Al coming off the bench don’t start him
TheMozgovCocktail - February 22, 2012
Miller
Brewer
Faried
Kouf
Moz
I mean no one could reliably score but who cares, rebounds baby!
Zachm219 - February 22, 2012
I'll pass on that lineup
TheMozgovCocktail - February 22, 2012
prediction
not that worried we will get mauled inside. My big concern is that again we’ll get killed from the outside and not match Clips outside shooters.
IMO Moz, KK, Faried will be OK inside but will our cast of perimeter defenders close on Clips shooters?
sgiustra - February 22, 2012
If everybody who's injured is out, Hamilton should get the start
GK has already given the other two rookies a shot to start so i think it should be Hamilton’s turn
TheMozgovCocktail - February 22, 2012
this
Everytime JHam gets in the game, you see flashes of his ability to score, and if I’m not mistaken, I believe he’s our best 3 point shooter atm… A start could go a long way to boosting his confidence and hopefully he’d eliminate some of those rookie mistakes he makes everytime he’s in there for any extended period of time.
UKnowULovedVanQwik - February 22, 2012
I hope not
I was really excited about JHam until he took that terrible shot in Monday’s game.
What was that? He was running away from the hoop, then spun around and launched a terrible 17-foot fade-away.
Who does that? Dipshits on the playground, that’s who. Not professional basketball players.
Was not surprised to see GK yank him real quick after that. Ugh.
Fly Agaric - February 22, 2012
He took that shot because he's a rookie
and rookies make mistakes. If everyone who is injured is out, I believe he should get the start. I don’t want to see a backcourt of Miller and Stone. Plus I want to keep Al on the bench so he can add the scoring punch with the second unit
TheMozgovCocktail - February 22, 2012
Plus
everybody who’s currently on the team has had the chance to start a game. I think he should get his opportunity if AAA is out
TheMozgovCocktail - February 22, 2012
I'm with ya brah..
We need to find someone to bury some buckets with all these injuries… he’s the last guy left to give an opportunity to.
UKnowULovedVanQwik - February 22, 2012
You seem like the only one to agree with me on this
I’m just saying I don’t want Big Al to start. I would prefer him coming off the bench for us because we need a scoring presence coming off the bench
TheMozgovCocktail - February 22, 2012
that was ugly..
You can tell he’s not totally comfortable when he’s out there, but again, I think with a confidence booster that garbage goes away…. that was pretty bad, though… almost looked like he thought he was closer to the basket and by the time he turned for the baby jump hook, he realized too late how far out he was… Still there’s no denying he shoots better than most of the guys we’ve been running out there lately.
UKnowULovedVanQwik - February 22, 2012
Hamilton
He looks uncomfortable because he’s a rookie and not being able to work with the coaches in the offseason really hurt him. Plus, there was no summer league for him to play in also
TheMozgovCocktail - February 22, 2012
Which is exactly why he shouldn't start
The regular season when you are a playoff team looking to get out of the first round isn’t where you develop rookies. It’s where you win as many games as possible.
Do I think JHan should get more playing time in light of the injuries? Hell yes. But start?
Nah.
Fly Agaric - February 22, 2012
let me ask you this fly
Who should start at the 2 guard if AAA’s out? I mean we started Stone for crying out loud. So I think it’s Hamilton’s time to get a start
TheMozgovCocktail - February 22, 2012
As unseasoned as Stone is
He’s never been reckless with the ball.
I doubt Rudy and AAA will both miss tonight’s game. But, I suppose that if they do, you might just get your wish and I’ll be glad that I had to miss tonight’s game.
Fly Agaric - February 22, 2012
Well I'll be watching tonight unlike you fly
I don’t want to see Stone starting with Dre. He’s not a scoring threat. At least hamilton’s a scoring threat as unseasoned as he is
TheMozgovCocktail - February 22, 2012
Stone shouldn't start
Because he will need to spell Dre.
Man, I hope Rudy or Trip can play.
Fly Agaric - February 22, 2012
I'm with you about hoping that AAA can play
not Rudy that much however. If AAA can’t play, Hamilton should get the start
TheMozgovCocktail - February 22, 2012
o_O
Fly Agaric - February 22, 2012
look for dre to get ~45 minutes tonight.
Rainbow skyline - February 22, 2012
the horror
TheMozgovCocktail - February 22, 2012
i disagree
he will get himself ejected again to sit down
Army of Nugs - February 22, 2012
maybe he'll just chuck the ball at the ref like rondo
and get a few games off.
Rainbow skyline - February 22, 2012
miller
I don’t think he has the temper like Rondo does. Maybe he’ll sprain his ankle since everyone is doing it
TheMozgovCocktail - February 22, 2012
He doesn't ever jump so that is not a possibility
NugzJunkie - February 22, 2012
you never know
it could happen with everyone dropping like flies
TheMozgovCocktail - February 22, 2012
I'd like to see Karl get ejected
TheMozgovCocktail - February 22, 2012
What's wrong with starting?
If you think he should get more PT with the injuries, then what’s wrong with giving him a confidence booster by getting the start.. he can do much less damage by starting and getting yanked 5 minutes in, if he’s not contributing, than coming in late 3rd/early 4th quarter of a close game to give someone else a spell, ie the Timberwolves game.
UKnowULovedVanQwik - February 22, 2012
I agree, what do we have to lose?
chances are we lose this game either way

Per Sam Amick
Chandler is still talking to Denver about a deal, but exploring other options as well. Another spike to someone’s roster coming.
Army of Nugs - February 22, 2012
Damn
If somesone offers him a boatload of money I just say let him walk
TheMozgovCocktail - February 22, 2012
Only losing teams have the ability to offer him money, and Denver can still match
NugzJunkie - February 22, 2012
True
but I don’t want to pay someone $50 Mil to come off the bench
TheMozgovCocktail - February 22, 2012

TyLawesome - February 22, 2012
Of course Chandler's agent is saying that...pretty par for the course.
NugzJunkie - February 22, 2012
It's Toronto
I wondered why we haven’t heard this yet, since all the reports a few weeks ago were that they were going to throw crazy money at him. I’ve heard they could be willing to go to $9 per for him… but I’m not sure I believe that…
UKnowULovedVanQwik - February 22, 2012
let him walk for $9 mil
not worth that. gallo isnt even worth that much yet
Kevin #3 - February 22, 2012
agreed
5-7 mil is just about right IMO
JBnuggs - February 22, 2012
well he is probably gonna get that
even if we sign him to at 6-8 a year average, his contact will be back loaded since whatever he makes this year is pro-rated. No way he would want this year to be anything north of 4 million I’d think.
donwoe - February 22, 2012
Could just be for leverage
He looks pretty comfortable hanging with the team in the locker room in this video.

JBnuggs - February 22, 2012

SDcat09 - February 22, 2012

SDcat09 - February 22, 2012
Heretic!!! :p
Russscot - February 22, 2012
Oh like I haven't heard THAT before
SDcat09 - February 22, 2012
That is still hundreds of years in the future
ThrowItDownBigManThrowItDown - February 22, 2012
Yeah but I saw it implode Sunday night
SDcat09 - February 22, 2012
Well, I'm convinced that
the Roddenberry Trekverse is contemporaneous with ours, and the Abrams Trekverse is the alternate time line
Russscot - February 22, 2012
I like the alternate time line
as long as I’m 10 years younger :P
SDcat09 - February 22, 2012
Hmmm this makes sense
SDcat09 - February 22, 2012
now okc up 10

Army of Nugs - February 22, 2012

Army of Nugs - February 22, 2012
Reverse dunk by Swish!!!!!
Damn I miss those
Army of Nugs - February 22, 2012
i thought rudy would bring those....
5baker5 - February 22, 2012
Rudy? A dunker?
SDcat09 - February 22, 2012
he was in the dunk contest once
haha
808inDenver - February 22, 2012
+1
5baker5 - February 22, 2012
Was it a better outing than Birdman's?
SDcat09 - February 22, 2012
it was pretty good
it took him longer than the allowed time but they let him keep going anyways
JBnuggs - February 22, 2012
why isnt faried in the dunk contest
5baker5 - February 22, 2012
Good question
SDcat09 - February 22, 2012
he plays for denver
Army of Nugs - February 22, 2012
The dunk contest participants are lackluster to say the least
TheMozgovCocktail - February 22, 2012
not enough PT this season
he’ll be in it next year FOR SURE
JBnuggs - February 22, 2012
Pau sabotaged him.
Kevin L - February 22, 2012
yup seen videos of miller-rudy reverse dunks.
5baker5 - February 22, 2012
Best joke of the thread
Army of Nugs - February 22, 2012
The nuggets obviously have half court plays
Why dont they use them late in the game? are they panicked? or does GK prefer one on one play… confused
5baker5 - February 22, 2012
At the point when we need them
GK has his head buried in his hands
Army of Nugs - February 22, 2012
This is true haha
But at the end of the game against OKC when we were up 111-109 miller actually walks in the middle of the court and tells everyone to stand still to waste time… direct orders from GK hahaha
5baker5 - February 22, 2012
Tonight, I think we need a Surprise for the Clippers
Army of Nugs - February 22, 2012
His name is kenneth
5baker5 - February 22, 2012
What's his frequency?
SDcat09 - February 22, 2012
haha good song
5baker5 - February 22, 2012
Well I'll be surprised if we win
SDcat09 - February 22, 2012
if we can somehow stop the 3 point shot... if ty plays we have a shot...
5baker5 - February 22, 2012
if we hit 50% or better on 3s
we have a chance. If we go 3-17 or something terrible like that, no chance.
JBnuggs - February 22, 2012
I hope hamilton gets a shot... he can shoot just has to be locked in on D
5baker5 - February 22, 2012
he should get his chance tonight
we’re gonna need some shooting
JBnuggs - February 22, 2012
Key to the game
Army of Nugs - February 22, 2012
Thanks for nothing Celtics. I hate you even more now.
SDcat09 - February 22, 2012
This
love4nuggets - February 22, 2012
If anything,
this game should show us a little more clearly how well the Nugs played in Sunday’s game. The Celtics – for all their “big three” – can’t even hang with the Thunder. We could (should) have won the game without much of our core group.
Russscot - February 22, 2012
agreed
if we had our best defensive unit on the floor the final 50 seconds of the game, we win.
JBnuggs - February 22, 2012

SDcat09 - February 22, 2012

POKER? POKER? F that
SDcat09 - February 22, 2012
haha!
5baker5 - February 22, 2012
I like poker...
Russscot - February 22, 2012
It's NOT A SPORT!!!!!
SDcat09 - February 22, 2012
indeed, it fails to qualify on one of two prerquisites to be a sport
It is not physically exerting
Zachm219 - February 22, 2012
never said it was
Russscot - February 22, 2012
But it shouldn't be on the Fox SPORTS channel.....
SDcat09 - February 22, 2012
Shut up Durant
Your team is winning by 30 and you’re going to gripe about a bad foul call???? STFU
SDcat09 - February 22, 2012
have to respect him... better than all other SF's in this league
5baker5 - February 22, 2012
Lebron
is still the better all around player IMO
JBnuggs - February 22, 2012
I disagree
Still not near LeBron. Scoring wise he is better, but everything falls short
Army of Nugs - February 22, 2012
ehhhhh
Im not quite ready to give him the edge over Lebron
Zachm219 - February 22, 2012
No I really don't
SDcat09 - February 22, 2012
Close though, won't be the better passer lebron is
but durant gets it done in the 4th quarter
5baker5 - February 22, 2012
LeBron does too
unless its a 4th quarter in the Finals
Army of Nugs - February 22, 2012
With the help of officiating
/still bitter
SDcat09 - February 22, 2012
yup those 4th quarters make me sick
not as bad as game 5 of the playoffs though… i cant even talk about that
5baker5 - February 22, 2012
Yeah....
SDcat09 - February 22, 2012
did you ever see the video of afflalo crying after...
5baker5 - February 22, 2012
No, I don't think I could take it
SDcat09 - February 22, 2012
This is almost as bad as the Blazers/Spurs game last night.
Russscot - February 22, 2012
Turrible
SDcat09 - February 22, 2012
I have to deal with Ralph Lawler…..
Kevin L - February 22, 2012
I feel truly sorry for you.
I wonder if he’ll make any racist remarks during tonight’s broadcast.
love4nuggets - February 22, 2012
Better than “OH ME OH MY!!!”
Kevin L - February 22, 2012
Lol. True.
love4nuggets - February 22, 2012
But at least you get to see the game....
SDcat09 - February 22, 2012
You just need to move back to Colorado, obviously
Russscot - February 22, 2012
Or do as I do
go to Chili’s
Army of Nugs - February 22, 2012
This.
Kevin L - February 22, 2012
Either that or watch it on my laptop
and my internet sucks
Army of Nugs - February 22, 2012
Well there are ways I can watch
but I have such a nice TV , seems like a shame.
SDcat09 - February 22, 2012
I do too
but no Directv yet.
Army of Nugs - February 22, 2012
Boston coming back?
Russscot - February 22, 2012
Take out 35 and 0.
They’re all a bunch of stiffs.
Kevin L - February 22, 2012
They are within 60!!!!
Never thought that was possible!!
Army of Nugs - February 22, 2012
Whew
SDcat09 - February 22, 2012
false hope, they always come back but end up losing
5baker5 - February 22, 2012
In my best dr evil voice
J.R. Smith fined one million dollars! for skipping practices.
ThrowItDownBigManThrowItDown - February 22, 2012
Weren't games over there practice for him?
Army of Nugs - February 22, 2012
Huh?
SDcat09 - February 22, 2012
Yeah
CBA fined JR yesterday for skipping practice
Army of Nugs - February 22, 2012
Oh wow...
SDcat09 - February 22, 2012
I'm pretty sure JR just said
PRACTICE!! You’re talking to me about PRACTICE!! PRACTICE?!!
Oh A.I. I do miss you
SDcat09 - February 22, 2012
But were the games nothing more than practice for him?
He was shooting and scoring at will over there in games
Army of Nugs - February 22, 2012
I dunno
SDcat09 - February 22, 2012
made 14 of 18 threes in a game
thats practice, not a game
Army of Nugs - February 22, 2012
But I made the Allen Iverson obvious practice joke. :(
SDcat09 - February 22, 2012
i know
but fining someone a million dollars for not practicing but scoring 60 pts in a game makes no sense
Army of Nugs - February 22, 2012
I'm sure he can afford it
SDcat09 - February 22, 2012
One third of his salary
I doubt j.r. has more money in the bank than I do. In a few years he will be like a.I.
ThrowItDownBigManThrowItDown - February 22, 2012
Money in da bank!
not something i am used to having
Army of Nugs - February 22, 2012
I think that's a pretty unfair critique to level on JR
is there any evidence to support your position? Unless of course you are worth tens of millions of dollars
SDcat09 - February 22, 2012
Did you read the stories out of china?
He was spending money hand over fist, and supporting multiple people living with him. We have seen this story before.
ThrowItDownBigManThrowItDown - February 22, 2012
But that doesn't mean it will have the same outcome.
Perhaps he’s invested his money wisely and can afford to spend like he was. I just think it’s unfair to assume it will end up the same way.
SDcat09 - February 22, 2012
Knuckleheads gonna knucklehead
Russscot - February 22, 2012
MVK! MVK! MVK!
SDcat09 - February 22, 2012
It was only a matter of time.
Kevin L - February 22, 2012
Garbage time in the Knicks game
how many daggers to expect?
Army of Nugs - February 22, 2012
11 point game in OKC
5baker5 - February 22, 2012
How much time left?
SDcat09 - February 22, 2012
5:15
5baker5 - February 22, 2012
Boston within 11
Army of Nugs - February 22, 2012
I know
its like no one…
Army of Nugs - February 22, 2012
I hate late tipoffs
Russscot - February 22, 2012
Late? It's only 6:30 here :P
SDcat09 - February 22, 2012
Just because you live in an inferior time zone,
shouldn’t mean us here in the best one have to suffer :p
Russscot - February 22, 2012
If by inferior better then I agree!
SDcat09 - February 22, 2012
Inferior:
Russscot - February 22, 2012
Well then LOOK HOW WRONG YOU ARE!
SDcat09 - February 22, 2012

Russscot - February 22, 2012

Russscot - February 22, 2012

Albafica - February 22, 2012
we will not win this game
5baker5 - February 22, 2012
Take your negativity elsewhere
This means lots of minutes for Stone and Hamilton
Army of Nugs - February 22, 2012
Ty lawson is the fuel to this team without gallo and nene
5baker5 - February 22, 2012
Or 35 minutes of Dre and Buck.
Kevin L - February 22, 2012
absolutely
Albafica - February 22, 2012
CLASSIC reverse jinx.
herewereyouwish - February 22, 2012

So where the hell were those calls against us?
Kevin L - February 22, 2012

Kevin L - February 22, 2012

Zebras will win
Army of Nugs - February 22, 2012

couple good dunks too. Still 5 min of garbage time to be played
Army of Nugs - February 22, 2012
Happy anniversary for NY today. What about us?
NO TY
NO NENE
NO GALLO
Rudy is questionable.
AA is hurt.
Albafica - February 22, 2012
Mozgov recovering
Army of Nugs - February 22, 2012
A lot of blowouts tonight around the league
GS up by 17 after 1 quarter
Army of Nugs - February 22, 2012
They're playing Phoenix...great match up for them if their shots are falling from 3.
But I bet that they give up the lead and it’s a close game in the 4th
Russscot - February 22, 2012
BTW Cat
Did you try Prime Ticket?
Kevin L - February 22, 2012
Nevermind, they got Poker.
Kevin L - February 22, 2012
I don't have that channel :(
Just Fox Sports West
SDcat09 - February 22, 2012
Looks like somebody doesn’t want you to see K-Mart.

Well
I’ll find a way

Russscot - February 22, 2012
She knows that.
Kevin L - February 22, 2012
Anyone have any preference in the Lakers/Mavs game?
I really have no idea who I should want to win
Russscot - February 22, 2012
Meteor is the only option
SDcat09 - February 22, 2012
I like Dirk, and that's it.

TheMozgovCocktail - February 22, 2012
He’s in, but he’s wearing a baby blue buttoned shirt for his interview.
Kevin L - February 22, 2012

Russscot - February 22, 2012
x
Kevin L - February 22, 2012
Albafica - February 22, 2012
Mozgov
He needs to play huge for us like he did the first game in LA. I hope Karl plays him more than 8 minutes
TheMozgovCocktail - February 22, 2012
If he produces, he'll play...contingent on his ankle and fitness in coming back
Russscot - February 22, 2012
true
but he can’t produce if he only plays 8 minutes
TheMozgovCocktail - February 22, 2012
true
Russscot - February 22, 2012
Moz
I just would like for him to play in the 2nd and 4th quarters as well. Karl yanks him 5 minutes into the first quarter and 3 minutes into the thrid quarter never to return to the game. He won’t get better if Karl keeps toying with him like this. He does have a nice jumper as well
TheMozgovCocktail - February 22, 2012
Against OKC, K2 produced a lot in the first half but didn`t get one minute in the second.
You`ve never known what is in Karl`s head.
Albafica - February 22, 2012
Gotta make sure them leprechauns are away from him.
Kevin L - February 22, 2012

SDcat09 - February 22, 2012
That’s when he’s in a good mood.
Kevin L - February 22, 2012
Wow. That is some seriously offensive verbiage there
SDcat09 - February 22, 2012
That is stupid
Kobe, Durant, Rose and the other “superstars” could probably call the referees everything under the sun without getting ejected
TheMozgovCocktail - February 22, 2012
Game Plan.
Make CliP3 play hero.
