In Monday's thrilling (and harrowing) overtime victory against the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Nuggets lost Ty Lawson to a left ankle sprain, one that will have him listed as day-to-day. This is already the third injury for Lawson this season, and the second to his left ankle. He missed some time at the end of January due to that issue. His right foot bothered him during the start of the season in January.
ESPN is reporting, that former Nuggets shooting guard J.R. Smith will not be returning to the Nuggets. Smith Tweeted out early this morning that he will join Jeremy Lin, Carmelo Anthony, and the New York Knicks. Smith will received a prorated portion of New York's mini mid-level exception ($2.5 million) and a player option for a second season. Smith will be missed by many in Nuggets Nation ...

In last night's game against the Houston Rockets, Danilo Gallinari suffered what is now being called a, "severe ankle sprain" after undergoing a CT scan and MRI today. Apparently the chip fracture that was seen in X-ray's last night was from a previous injury, most likely suffered before Gallo embarked on his pro-playing career. After appearing in 48 games for the Nuggets in the 2010-11 season, Kenyon Martin produced a career low 8.6 points to go along with 6.2 rebounds. The 34 year-old power forward has been cleared by FIBA, according to Adrian Wojnarowski, and is expected to sign a contract with an NBA team over the weekend and could start playing in games next week.
